This is a post for anyone who scheduled an appointment with John or has regularly scheduled check-ups that you want to thread out. You can skip his contact post if the thread will eventually lead to doing some medicine in the clinic. Don't forget to tag with some indication of a date.
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 03:47 am (UTC)I've been eating a little.
[ Squeezing Fox's hand. ]
I did a live the other day where I tried to taste test some of the dishes at the potluck but ultimately didn't manage more than a few bites.
[ . . . . . . . . . It feels weirder saying this next bit. ]
It's easier drinking blood and I feel a little bit better for a short while after. The pureblood---ah-- that is...vampires usually draw strength or heal more quickly if they drink blood back home. I don't re-- [ She feels a bit breathless talking so much! ] --regenerate like I would at home. But it's possible that... that my body still calms down after. I always crave blood when injured after a game, or the like...
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 04:03 am (UTC)That's what I thought. This solution should help with getting everything back to normal as far as minerals and hydration goes. I'm going to give you something to calm the coughing down, too. If there's any other symptoms, let me know.
[just going to inject that right into the IV line]
Now, treating tuberculous involves a lot of drugs for a long time. With how this place works, we can either push it into remission, make it latent, to stop the symptoms and leave at that. Or you can do the whole course, eliminate it completely. In either case, I'm going to check how your lungs are doing with scans and test your blood regularly to see if it just clears up. That all make sense?
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 04:24 am (UTC)I keep hoping it will just clear up on its own. And maybe it would. But-- I'd rather play it safe than regret it later.
[ Which is why she nods. ]
Whatever you think will help most.
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 04:30 am (UTC)[eyeing the IV]
Mind staying here for an hour or two for that finish off? I should have everything together by then.
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 04:35 am (UTC)Of course--- thank you again. How many points will it be?
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 07:09 am (UTC)You have to say— What other symptoms you have. I can't see them all, not quite.
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-27 03:33 pm (UTC)[ This is a kind service of him to offer. ]
Symptom wise... let me see.
[ Ticking things off on her free hand. ]
Cough with blood, difficulty breathing, fever, fatigue...loss of appetite, and as a result I think I've lost some weigh, but I haven't been weighing myself. I've had times where I've felt incredibly cold but then later too warm, too...
[ Also an obsession with mirrors but that's different and neither does she realize it's become an obsession. ]
It's the pain in my chest and difficulty breathing that concerns me the most.
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-29 02:27 am (UTC)And deep breath now.
[because he has an empty needle to draw blood]
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-03-31 01:59 am (UTC)[ She does as instructed, taking a deep breath. At least she's not really worried about needles, considering-- vampire. ]
Re: Day 219
Date: 2020-04-01 05:35 am (UTC)Alright. Test time.
[True to his word, it will take roughly two hours for him to process the blood, figure out dosages, and take a short walk back to the hotel to collect the medicine that she needs. And it's a lot of medicine, four bottles in total, that he passes back to her with instructions for each. At least, by the time, all the IV treatment should have passed, so she's got a leg up on that front.]
Okay, I'll see you back here tomorrow. Day to day until it starts to plateau a bit.

Date: 2020-04-01 08:39 pm (UTC)[ Vampires just don't. Get sick. But with the exception of her diet, she's essentially human here. ]
