They're not suspects. There's only been one murder, and we know who committed it. Even if anyone here should stand trial, there is no justice in any of this.
[Sighs and tries to remember the profiles. He is too stubborn to actually look at the tablet.]
I recall... Grim Eyes committed deicide? Would that even count? Assuming such a being exists the first place, it's not as if killing it is a breach of the social contract.
Harukawa, Saihara, and Sigma have all been in previous killing games. Saihara has had his memories tampered with, and I'm going to assume the same for Harukawa and Sigma.
[doing his very best to smother his irritation at that answer]
Does that necessarily make them confirmed killers? Someone like Saihara might have survived simply because he was useful. We don't even know for sure that all of them did survive.
I... I'm not so sure about that. He had a chance to kill me and he didn't take it. It's not like he'll have a lot of opportunities; it's fairly obvious I could take him in a fight.
[it might not be as obvious as he thinks. it is true though]
After I set the fire, I was pretty banged up from my fight with Kaiba...
[he is still pretty banged up tbh]
Despite that, I didn't want to be stuck by myself during the night, so I went to meet Saihara. We get along well enough, and as I said, I don't find him physically threatening.
[Akechi has 3 inches but only 13 pounds on Saihara. So in a way he's actually more of a twig. But he remains pretty confident on this particular subject.]
But I underestimated how exhausted I was that night. Honestly, I could barely stand. He noticed, but all he did was send me off to bed with an onigiri.
Opportunity does not make motive. Also, I said that someone who killed previously is the most likely suspect to kill tonight. The fact that no one jumped the metaphorical gun, literal fireplace, means we're dealing with people who have a shred of sense and/or decency.
To set an example to a group, are you going to murder someone nearly unconnected to them? How many people are more worried about their own neck now rather than being upset that a person they never met is dead now?

—Of course, I know that the only justice will be in taking down whoever's behind all of this. That's one of my goals.
