[going inside, not going to herd shuichi any further, because anything would be a surprise at this point. going to check out the books and papers first]
[There's one proper book on the card table, which appears to be a...children's joke book? Um? The other is a spiral-bound notebook. Every last page has been filled out completely with lines and lines and lines of handwritten computer code.
There are a few stray pieces of paper on the table, too; the one on top reads in hasty handwriting, key → mysteries of the female orgasm? who tf is gonna be in there anyway; thanks.
The bookshelf has a bunch of books on raccoon biology, a few sci-fi books about universe travel, and some classic horror novels. There's also what looks like a bound purple notebook, the spine unlabeled, with a bright red bookmark sticking out of it.]
[The weapons are...pretty ordinary-looking. Entirely glitter-free? More than what we could ask for around here. Lots of lightweight swords, a couple of hatchets. Among them there's a fist-sized metal box on the ground; there are lots of visible circuit boards and some wires sticking out. Whatever project this was has gone unfinished.
The bookmarked page reads:
The raccoons can’t see this room. We made sure of it. They’re actually really stupid. Put anything in the form of an anagram and they’re completely lost, it’s almost funny. DO NOT LET THEM FIND OUT ABOUT THIS PLACE. REPAIR THE GLASS WHEN YOU’VE LEFT. IF THEY FIND OUT, IT’S OVER. - A
Good chance that A is one of the two out there. Not really sure how they could survive beyond a few days without any water since there's no evidence of it or food, though.
My other question is when are we going to see our robotic captors now that we've found this.
Mm, it's possible they were just sneaking in here at various points... though they'd have to have a different way in. Or a way to repair glass over and over, I guess.
We should make sure we get as much as we can from this before the raccoons notice, if they haven't already. They were clearly planning something here.

Wondering how they thought we're supposed to fix broken glass.
