Opportunity does not make motive. Also, I said that someone who killed previously is the most likely suspect to kill tonight. The fact that no one jumped the metaphorical gun, literal fireplace, means we're dealing with people who have a shred of sense and/or decency.

To set an example to a group, are you going to murder someone nearly unconnected to them? How many people are more worried about their own neck now rather than being upset that a person they never met is dead now?

Mm. Kurusu and I had wondered about that as well. The best explanation we came up with that perhaps they want a slow buildup to the "narrative" they're building here.
